Update 3/31

Well, I'm still waiting on my motor.

I ordered a 3.4 procharger pulley straight from them. I'll probably be running between 12-13psi with the Anderson Powerpipe.

I also cleaned up my timing cover a little bit and put a little polish on it. It's def. not clean as it could be but I am really tired of working on it, plus you won't be able to see much of is with the accessories/procharger in front of it :)

I'm also having some IMRC Deletes made so I'll have a much free'r flowing intake/motor.

I'm still really excited, I can't wait!!!

Cleaned up the engine bay

Well I went and cleaned my engine bay...well, best I could anyway. That thing was DIIIIIRTY! It's still pretty dirty, but not much I can do about it.

I also removed the EGR and Airpump lines from my stock manifolds and went to Lowes to try and find some caps for them so I can delete them permanently. But of course with the luck I have with hardware stores and stuff fitting right on my cars of course the "right size" doesn't fit. UGH!

Oh well, I'll figure something out.

Still waiting to hear from JLP on my motor status and if any headwork needed to be done. Hopefully none other than replacing the lifters I bought.

Till next time...

Dyno Day at Extreme Motorsports was FUN

Well the dyno day at extreme motorsports was a pretty good time. There were turbo and supercharged cars everywhere.

I invited a few people from MACA and one of them ended up having the highest horsepower of the day (other than extreme motorsports' shopcar Evo)

Here is Tim putting down 577rwhp/520ft.lbs trq.

All yesterday did was make me want to get my car on the road just that much more!!!! LOL

Getting Anxious!!!

Knowing that everything is finally coming together I am really getting anxious! Today while running some errands I saw alot of motorcycles out and some other nice cars like a c6 vette, a turbo supra, a couple mustang GT's...etc.

I can NOT wait to get my car back on the road, I miss it soooo much!

Can't wait to strap on this:

and do this again! (minus all the red lights lol):

Dyno Day Tomorrow at Extreme Motorsports

Tomorrow is the dyno day at Extreme Motorsports. There should be alot of nice cars up there making some serious HP!

We are expecting a twin turbo viper making over 1200hp to the rear wheels to show up, some high horsepower supras and cobras, and some AWD cars like the Evo, WRX/STI, 3000GT VR-4 etc.

I'll be going up with my wife in her 2006 Mustang GT. It's got Bassani O/R X-pipe, Flowmaster American Thunder axel backs, JLT Intake and a Jon Lund tune using the SCT X-calibrator 2.

Here is my wifes car:

Motor Update 3-11-08

Talked with Johnny at JLP today. The motor is supposed to go to the machine shop this week. They tore down my motor and apparently the culprit of the low compression on #7 and #8 cylinders was because of cracked ring landings. YUCK!

Anyway, It is a good thing I didn't just replace the headgaskets and try to drive it again, would of been a huge waste of time!

Here is a diagram I made of the compression test I took the day the motor blew:

*PICS* Powdercoated Valve Covers and Intake Manifold!

Went down to Ship Point Machine in Hollywood, MD to pick up my valve covers and intake manifold.

They finished the powdercoating job today, and they do look awesome I must say!

I'm going to sand the fins on the intake manifold to reveal a brushed aluminum finish which I think will accent itself against the matte black. Also, the old snake emblem is put on there just for effect, I'm going to get a new one of those too (one thats not bent up and scratched lol).

IMRC Delete Plates

I'm trying to figure out whether I should try and find delete plates and buy them or take mine and have them welded and grind down the weld to be smooth.

With the procharger and 4.10 gears there is no need for the IMRC's anymore!

Comment with your opinions, thanks!

Switching to a D1SC Procharger

Well once I get my motor back I'm going to be doing alot more to the performance of the car to take advantage of the newly forged powerplant!

Right now I have a P1SC pushing about 9lbs of boost. If I switch to a D1SC with the same size pulley I'll probably be around 13-15lbs of boost. But I'm ultimately looking for about 17-18 lbs of boost with out belt slip. But I may also switch to an 8rib pulley setup for more grip on the procharger.

Here is a chart of the RPM vs. Impeller speed of the Procharger:

This is Impeller Speed @ 6,800 RPM - Redline on Mustang Cobra
62,000 = D1SC Maximum Impeller Speed

67,242 = Impeller Speed w/ stock crank pulley and 2.8 pulley
62,759 = Impeller Speed w/ stock crank pulley and 3.0 pulley
58,884 = Impeller Speed w/ stock crank pulley and 3.2 pulley <-optimum
55,407 = Impeller Speed w/ stock crank pulley and 3.4 pulley
45,890 = Impeller Speed w/ stock crank pulley and 4.1 pulley

50,466 = Impeller Speed w/ 10% crank pulley and 4.1 pulley
60,919 = Impeller Speed w/ 10% crank pulley and 3.4 pulley <-optimum
64,741 = Impeller Speed w/ 10% crank pulley and 3.2 pulley
69,003 = Impeller Speed w/ 10% crank pulley and 3.0 pulley
73,931 = Impeller Speed w/ 10% crank pulley and 2.8 pulley

The 2nd part of the chart is with a different crank pulley that I may get when switching to an 8rib setup. So once the money gets in my pockets, its right back to procharger for a D1SC and pulley!!!

till next time...Make Horsepower not excuses!

Today is my birthday!

Well, today is my birthday. I'm officially old enough to be considered a "safe driver". According to the car insurance companies here in the good ol' US-of-A, being 25 years old makes you a safer driver lol.

My wife Cheri, informed me that she is going to pay for the powdercoating on my valve covers and intake manifold. I have such a wonderful wife!

As soon as I get the parts back from the powder-coaters I will snap some pics and show you guys that actually read my blog!!! *SNEAK PEEK*!!! lol.

Till next time...

Dyno Day

Buddy of mine told me about an mixed-forum dyno day (like supra forums and such...legit cars). Only select forums are being notified....He asked me to notify MACA....so I am

Saturday, March 15 from 9 am until all dynos are finished
Extreme Motorsports
1360 Blair Drive
Suite L
Odenton, Maryland 21113

$50 for 3 dyno runs with dyno printout along with A/F ratio

This was copied from my post on SVTPerformance.com

It will be good times, lots of High HP cars and some competitive dyno trash talk I'm sure haha.
