Dropped off the motor...

I dropped off the motor yesterday to Johnny at JLP.

The drive was amazing, very beautiful scenery. Farm land and fields galore! Not to mention I got to drive acrossed the Conowingo Hydro-Electric powerstation. It was like a mini Hoover Dam. It was pretty cool. When I go pick up my motor I will take my camera with me and take some Hi-Res shots.

After getting the motor out of my car at Competition Speed and Sound it sat for a couple weeks trying to gather the rest of the funding needed for the motor build. and during that time I bought new motor mounts, waterpump, valve cover gaskets and as I mentioned before the stuff at the powdercoaters.

So anyway, once I got to JLP they were really nice and hospitable and helped me get the motor and crate out of the back of the truck and into their garage and proceeded to put it on an engine stand. When that was all done, the mechanic Andy showed me a couple of the Lightnings they were working on. Pretty cool stuff I must say.

Anywho, I had to pay 50% down to get the motor built, so as we walked out of the garage and into the main office there in the show room was a 05+ GT with a kennebell on it, a 07+ Shelby GT500 with a kennebell on it, a Chyrsler 300C and a truck. I gotta say Johnny, you have a sweet setup man!

Till next time..."Make horsepower, not excuses!"

SNOW!!!!

I've been planning since last week to take my motor to JLP in New Province, PA. And weather has been decent all week, but come to find out Friday, when I'm supposed to take my motor up it's supposed to snow up there.

Not only does this delay things, but also irritates me because I'm getting really excited and I just want to get the motor there so Johnny can start working on it.

Up and Ready to Roll

Got my motor loaded on the truck now. had to go buy some ratchet straps to make sure that mofo doesn't slide around lol.

Lazy Saturday?

So I didn't wake up till about 11:30 today and just been laying around watching tv with my wife. Didn't get to go work on the cobra. Oh well plenty of time since I couldn't take my motor to JLP today. Damn weather!!!

Anyway, I have alot to do before the motor can go back in anyway, including:

Buy new intake manifold gaskets
Buy new timing cover gasket
Buy new exhaust manifold gaskets
Buy new SCT Xcalibrator

and the list goes on, but I can't remember cause I'm lazy!

HOLLA!

Staying up late

Wow, the past couple of nights I'm just messing around on the internet and next thing I know its freakin 3 and 4 in the morning!

Tomorrow I'm probably going to go put new rear shocks and LED gauge cluster bulbs in my car. Updates to come!

Some youtube Fun!

decisions desicions

so I'm in a toss up, if I were to get the motor back in...

I may only have enough money to get my transmission built up to hold the power, which I would eventually have to do anyway.

OR

Buy longtube headers/mid-pipe and tubular front kmember and coilover suspension that would be super easy because the motor is already out of the car.

UGH! DECISIONS, DECISIONS!!!

DELAYED!!!

Well, a little update:

Was supposed to take my motor up to JLP tomorrow, but the weather is being pretty crappy so the trip will not be held off till next week :(

Oh well, give me some rest and relaxation time, plus I still need to get back my valve covers and intake manifold from the powdercoaters.

My Cobra/Addiction

Photobucket

Well, I'm Dustin (flowgoode) and I am pretty much in LOVE with my car lol.

I have a 1996 Ford Mustang Cobra. Its Arctic White. I bought the car with 65,000 miles on it and it now has 102,xxx miles.

First I put on a BBK fender-well intake and Flowmaster American Thunder Catback exhaust. And then it began....My Addiction!

I've always had fun modifying cars, but never to the extent I did this car.

So far these are my mods:

Bassani O/R Xpipe
USA Alloy 31 spline axels
Ford 31 spline trac-lok differential
TrickFlow differential cover
Ford Motorsport 3.73 gears (now replaced for below)
Motive Performance 4.10 gears
Steeda Tri-ax Shifter
Mickey Thompson ET Street Drag Radials (275/40/17)
Global West rear lower control arms
Steeda Tubular subframe connectors
SCT X-calibrator 2
Nitrous Xpress Wet Nitrous Kit with bottle warmer and purge (now sold)
Walboro 255lph intank fuel pump
Walboro 255lph inline fuel pump
42lbs Injectors
P1SC Procharger supercharger kit
Custom Front-mount Intercooler
Anderson Ford Motorsport Powerpipe (for procharger inlet)
Vortech Mondo Blow-off Valve
Pro-M MAF Sensor

*phew* alright well...I'm in the process of doing some things now.

I pulled my motor a week ago, I'm taking it to Johnny Lightning Performance to get my motor built and I'm powedercoating the valve covers and intake manifold.

More Updates to come!
